Contracts Manager

Do you have what it takes to be our Contracts Manager?

Reporting to the Managing Director - Salary C.£45K + Benefits

This expanding company is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified (17th Edition, CITB, JIB Card, 2391 and Health & Safety) Contracts Manager to lead our Installations Department and help in its development. Construction experience, especially roof construction experience, is a major plus.

There will be extensive UK wide travel to facilitate face-to-face contact with existing and new customers, and, the overseeing of a volume of projects within the domestic and commercial sectors. As this is a new position, the successful applicant will help in the formulation of the role and the duties involved.

Apart from holding the appropriate qualifications you will need to demonstrate a track record of handling a multitude of diverse small and large contracts through to successful completion. This important Senior Managerial role (reporting directly to the Managing Director) holds total responsibility for the leadership, management, administration and delivery of the projects in line with business objectives.

The role will be responsible for contract management and commercial performance of many projects with multi-million pound value. This will be achieved through managing and developing the existing business to business relationships, leading and motivating site teams and operating the business Management by Objectives principles.

You will also be required to prepare and issue monthly reports based on Key Performance Indicators and delivering projects to the required time, cost and quality measures.

The successful applicant will have all of the following skills and experience:

• A proven track record in the delivery of large and small construction related projects on-time and to budget.
• Good communication and presentation skills; you will be comfortable working with all levels of the organisation and be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Well Educated to degree level with a Construction Electrical background, you will be innovative, forward thinking and adopt a pro-active approach to team leadership, problem solving and management of the projects.
• You will have an in-depth commercial and contractual knowledge and be IT literate.
